At the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce, we don’t just plan events—we create experiences that bring our community together, support local businesses, and fuel the growth of our region. As soon as we wrap up Ladies Day Out, we shift gears and dive straight into planning for Celebrity Chef, all while continuing our daily Chamber responsibilities, membership engagement, and community service efforts.
Ladies Day Out: A Fun-Filled Evening for a Cause
One of our most beloved events, Ladies Day Out, is all about purses, bingo, wine, and desserts! It’s a night of fun, laughter, and friendly competition as attendees bid on stunning designer handbags and play bingo for a chance to win even more fabulous prizes.
How We Make It Happen:
✔ Purse Spotlights – We build excitement leading up to the event by featuring donated purses from local businesses on social media.
✔ Sponsorship & Donations – Our generous business community steps up to sponsor purses, prizes, and treats for the evening.
✔ Event Execution – From setting up wine and dessert stations to organizing the auction and bingo games, our Chamber team and committee members ensure every detail is perfect.
By the end of the night, we’ve not only created a fun and engaging experience but also raised valuable funds to support Chamber programs and community initiatives.
Shifting Gears: Celebrity Chef Takes Center Stage
With barely a moment to catch our breath, we move right into planning Celebrity Chef, another fan-favorite event that showcases local talent in the kitchen while bringing the community together for a night of great food and fun.
Our goal is to bring in 25 chefs to prepare their best dishes for guests to sample, with local businesses and community leaders participating. Right now, we have 16 signed up, so we’re actively working on getting more on board!
Key Steps in the Transition:
✔ Following Up on Sponsors & Chefs – Some of our Ladies Day Out sponsors also support Celebrity Chef, so we keep the momentum going with outreach.
✔ Logistics & Inventory – Staff and our committee ensure we have everything we need, from serving containers to napkins, while finalizing event details.
✔ Promoting Participation – Just like with the purse spotlights, we’ll be showcasing chefs and their dishes to build excitement leading up to the big night.
Balancing Events, Membership, and Community Service
Even in the middle of back-to-back events, the Chamber doesn’t slow down. We continue to focus on member engagement, office operations, and community service.
